Employed as an engineer for the EDF coal plant in the port of Le Havre, where he had worked for twelve years, Yves-Édouard Majorel only had to cross the Môle-Central road to join the Siemens Gamesa wind turbine plant in construction.
Last spring, when the thermal power station was going through its last moments, he joined the Spanish-German manufacturer.

The Saint-Étienne Mines engineer is an exception at Siemens Gamesa in Le Havre: he will occupy more or less the same supervisory position (maintenance manager) as at EDF.
