Sometimes you just have to cross the street to find a job.

Employed as an engineer for the EDF coal plant in the port of Le Havre, where he had worked for twelve years, Yves-Édouard Majorel only had to cross the Môle-Central road to join the Siemens Gamesa wind turbine plant in construction.

Last spring, when the thermal power station was going through its last moments, he joined the Spanish-German manufacturer.

From coal to renewable energies.

"It is the meaning of history to go from an established but declining industry,

coal

, which has enabled our industrial development, to a new carbon-free sector",

philosopher Yves-Édouard Majorel.

The Saint-Étienne Mines engineer is an exception at Siemens Gamesa in Le Havre: he will occupy more or less the same supervisory position (maintenance manager) as at EDF.

It is much different for the future workers of the factory.
