Today, the Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade, Dr. Muhammad Samer Al-Khalil, discussed with the Iranian ambassador in Damascus, Mahdi Sobhani, the arrangements for holding the second Iranian products exhibition in Damascus during the period between November 29 and December 3, and the agenda, activities and events accompanying the exhibition.
During the meeting, which was held at the Ministry of Economy and Foreign Trade building, the two sides discussed the activities accompanying the exhibition, where the meetings of the Joint Commercial Committee will be held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Economy and Foreign Trade, and the Joint Industrial Committee at the headquarters of the Ministry of Industry, and a forum for investment opportunities and official meetings will be held between the Iranian delegation and a number of ministries and Syrian authorities.
The two sides indicated that the exhibition is the largest joint Syrian-Iranian economic event in terms of the number of participations, which amount to 164 commercial and industrial companies, in addition to 70 people from government agencies and the private sector, in addition to being an opportunity to meet Syrian and Iranian businessmen and discuss the best ways to enhance joint cooperation.
It is noteworthy that the exhibition comes within the framework of following up on the implementation of the memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of exhibitions signed at the conclusion of the meetings of the fourteenth session of the Syrian-Iranian Joint Committee.
