The activities of the fourth conference of the Arab Federation of Arab Cities and Industrial Zones, organized by the Federation in coordination and cooperation with the Federation of Chemical and Petrochemical Industries, the Federation of Information Technology and the Federation of Measurement and Calibration, will be launched tomorrow morning, Monday at Damaroz Hotel, under the auspices of the General Secretariat of the Council of Arab Economic Unity.
The conference, which is held under the slogan (investment in Arab industrial cities and its role in making a qualitative shift in the Arab industry strategy), will be attended by Arab and Syrian officials, businessmen and investors who are interested in managing and investing in industrial cities.
The conference will discuss in its sessions topics focused on the titles (Successful investment experiences and incentives in Arab cities and industrial zones and the role of Arab cities and industrial zones in making a qualitative shift in the Arab industry strategy), (Arab economic integration and the role of investment in Arab cities and industrial zones) and (Information technology and systems And technology, software industry, information management and its role in business development to attract investments and its role in speeding up and improving performance) and others.
The Secretary-General of the Arab Union of Cities and Industrial Zones, Samer Al-Hammo, confirmed in a statement to SANA delegate that the union chose Syria to hold the work of this Arab conference based on the importance of the Syrian experience in establishing industrial zones and its ability to occupy an important position in the Arab region at this level, whether in terms of the size of these cities or the laws And the advanced and stimulating systems that govern investment in it are what qualifies it to be an important experience that is useful to be familiarized with at the Arab level.
Al-Hamou pointed out that there are many great investment opportunities in Syria, which are supported by a wide range of regulations and facilities that are now available to investors, which can result in future partnerships and projects that advance the Syrian economy and support Arab economic integration and joint cooperation projects.
It is noteworthy that the Arab Union of Arab Cities and Industrial Zones was established in 2009 at the request of the General Secretariat and on the recommendation of the 85th session of the Council of Arab Economic Unity. Damascus to be its headquarters due to the development of its industrial areas, and in 2020 Legislative Decree No. 217 was issued to make Syria the permanent headquarters of the Union.
