Senators from the RDPI group with a majority En Marche announced Tuesday that they would not participate in the series of debates organized this week in the hemicycle, to protest against "
sabotage
" by the senatorial right of the budget discussion.

The Senate dominated by the right-wing opposition prematurely interrupted last Tuesday the examination at first reading of the finance bill for 2022, by rejecting the “
revenue
” part, thus giving up discussing the appropriations of the various ministries. Instead, the Senate included on its agenda Tuesday and Wednesday a series of seven thematic debates (communities, environment, economy, justice and security, Overseas, education, public accounts).
The president of the RDPI group, François Patriat, denounced to the press "
a political coup
", criticizing "
the inconsistency
" and "
the irresponsibility
" of "
the abandonment
" of the budget discussion in favor of debates "
incantation and accusation, with no real solutions proposed
”.
