The activities of the 129th edition of the “Made in Syria” shopping festival kicked off this evening in the city of Zabadani in the Damascus countryside, with the participation of 40 companies, including various food, chemical, electrical, clothing and other products.

The festival, which continues until the seventh of this month, offers various offers and discounts of up to 40% for some products and vouchers for the families of the martyrs and the wounded.

In a statement to reporters, the Governor of Damascus Countryside, Engineer Moataz Abu Al-Nasr Jamran, indicated that the citizen is the compass, which the festival seeks to support and serve under the current circumstances, noting the role of the Chambers of Industry and Commerce of Damascus and its countryside and charities that work to launch festival courses in various cities and towns of the province with the aim of providing materials to the consumer at prices suitable.

Jamran asked the participating industrial companies to reduce their prices, pointing out that the governorate is ready to provide all support for such festivals directed at people with limited income.

For his part, the head of the Damascus and its countryside Chamber of Industry, Samer Al-Dibs, indicated that this session is part of a series of shopping festivals that have been held in the governorate of Damascus and its countryside over the past seven years to provide an opportunity for all citizens to benefit from the offers offered by industrialists, calling on all residents in the Zabadani area and the surrounding areas to come. For the festival and to benefit from its offers because the festival has become one of the positive intervention institutions that seek to reduce prices.

The head of the festival's organizing committee, Talal Qala Ji, stated that the companies did not make any effort to provide the discount that is commensurate with the citizen's income, since the producers' goal is to provide a service to the consumer and promote the brand participating in the festival.

It is noteworthy that the festival tours most of the governorates and offers different products with discounts ranging between 30 and 40 percent, suitable for all citizens, according to the festival’s supervisor, Mohamed Omar.

The owners of companies expressed the importance of the festival because it has become an opportunity for citizens in most regions to shop for the product directly, in addition to that it is one of the most important means of promoting their products, according to the shopping supervisor at the Lets Detergent Company, Wabel Al-Saqqa Amin.

The director of exhibitions at Haseeb Food Company, Maher Abu Azan, said: The company sells to the citizen at prices close to the cost, calling for a visit to the festival to see the Syrian industry and products and to buy necessities at the cheapest prices.

Sales Director of Pastalini Food Company, Yassin Al-Tabaa, pointed out the company's keenness to participate in each session because the festival covers all governorates and constitutes an opportunity for producers to communicate with the consumer to offer him the best at a low price.

For her part, Dareen Suleiman, Marketing Supervisor at Faed Cleaning Supplies, considered that participation in the festival is important for most companies to promote and market their products at prices lower than the market.

They continue to buy their needs through a number of citizens who are satisfied with the establishment of a festival in Zabadani, hoping to continue holding such festivals because it is an opportunity for them to buy most of their requirements at prices lower than market prices.

Citizen Refaat Murad stated that the festival is witnessing a great turnout and that there are good discounts on some materials, while Khalil Al-Kuwaifi indicated that the festival's prices are appropriate.

For her part, Amina Rahma and Siham Al-Tal considered that the festival is important because it includes most of the products at reasonable prices.
