The Syrian branch of trade in Damascus today started offering frozen chicken in its halls at a price of 7,500 Syrian pounds per kilogram, two frozen cutlets at 11,500 pounds, and frozen rose hips at 7,500 pounds, as part of positive intervention and work to provide materials at subsidized and reduced prices in the market.
Bashar Hadla, head of the Vegetable and Animal Marketing Department in Damascus branch, said in a statement to SANA that the chicken that is offered is my country, slaughtered and cleaned in the technical slaughterhouses of the Syrian Trade Establishment monitored for catering and health and frozen in a regular manner that preserves its quality and safety, pointing out that all halls are supplied with materials continuously around the clock.
SANA’s camera toured a number of halls in Damascus and monitored the opinions of citizens, where Hamdi Arida from Al-Majd Hall in Al-Qasaa pointed out the importance of offering these materials during the current period because it is a festive season at prices lower than the ration bulletin. For the family, while Hassan Al-Mohammed from the farm hall for meat saw that offering the materials at the same time in all the halls facilitates obtaining the material and opens the way to take the quantity that each citizen wants for his family.
In turn, Ghassan Jablawi, after buying the frozen chicken from the Mezzeh meat hall, confirmed that he always buys meat from the Syrian trade halls because they are catering and health control, and the price is according to the ration bulletin and is more reliable, in addition to the large differences in prices between these halls and markets.
