The Covid-19 pandemic is wreaking havoc in the scheduling of air links. According to the latest estimates from the FlightAware website, there were nearly 2,000 flight cancellations on Sunday, 2,800 Saturday and 2,400 Friday. That is a provisional total of 7,200 uninsured flights, not counting the thousands of delays. In question: many contaminated flight personnel. Main countries concerned: the United States and China. Thus over the last two days, 10% of planes scheduled by United Airlines did not ultimately take off. Air China and China Eastern have cut a quarter of the departures announced.
Europe is not spared either.
Lufthansa, through the voice of its CEO Carsten Spohr, warned having to cancel a total of
"33,000 flights, or about 10% of the winter flight program
