It took more than twenty years for the CAC 40 to beat its previous record.
The index owes its performance to a handful of conquering groups that never cease to surprise with their vigor.
These are the Khol (Kering, Hermès, L'Oréal and LVMH), whose weight has become predominant in the barometer of the Paris Bourse.
These champions of made in France represent more than a third of the capitalization of the CAC 40. They were its main driving force in 2021.
Along with a few other industry and technology champions, however, they hide a cohort of groups that are still struggling to recover from the health crisis.
Fourteen members of the ACC (or 35%) still show a withdrawal from their peak in mid-February 2020, just before the pandemic swept over Europe.
And some are far from it: groups hit hard by the health crisis and often grappling with other difficulties.
