LE FIGARO - One year after you took over at the helm of Safran, how is the group doing?

- Safran is in very good health.
It managed to generate a double-digit operating margin in 2020, and this will still be the case for 2021. The group has demonstrated its resilience and its ability to quickly adapt to an unprecedented crisis, the worst that the aeronautics industry has known. .
We had to react in the wake of the load reductions announced by Airbus and Boeing in spring 2020. But we were able to preserve jobs in France, thanks to public support measures.
The workforce fell by 5% in France due to natural erosion and the non-replacement of retirements.
