The American electric car maker Tesla announced that it delivered nearly one million cars around the world last year, nearly double the number it achieved in 2020.
In a statement carried by Agence France-Presse, Tesla said that it delivered more than 936,000 cars of all models last year, an increase of 87.4 percent compared to 2020.
The group, which decided to move its headquarters from Palo Alto, California, to Austin, Texas, last year sold a total of 911,208 cars and succeeded in avoiding the global supply problems that have recently plagued the entire auto industry around the world.
The company's founder, Elon Musk, recently explained that Tesla has been able to overcome many of the shortage problems in semiconductors by using new chip designs and rewriting software.
