Damascus-SANA
Tomorrow, Tuesday, the activities of the (good deeds) festival, which is organized by a group of businessmen and women in cooperation with the governorate of Damascus, will start in the Mouwasat Square in the Mezzeh area.
More than 50 companies in the food, clothing, detergents, electrical and carpet industries will participate in the ten-day festival. According to the head of the group of businessmen and women supervising the festival, Dr. Muhammad Al-Jabali, it aims to find markets for direct sales of the product to the consumer.
Al-Jabali said in a statement to SANA that the initiative also includes the contribution of industrialists and traders to positive intervention in the markets by requiring the participants to sell goods and products at reduced prices, especially since there is an abolition of all intermediate links between the producer and the consumer.
Al-Jabali promised that the discounts would be between 20 and 50 percent, with multiple offers and gifts from the participants, indicating that the initiative toured most of the governorates last year.
Member of the Executive Office of the Supply Sector in Damascus Governorate Shadi Sukkarieh explained that the governorate encourages all marketing festivals that contribute to reducing prices and selling the product to citizens at lower prices, pointing out that this event is the first in Damascus governorate this year, and producers from most of the governorates participate in it.
