To a real bear, the chairman of the business sector presidency is tired: of the stupidity of the vaccine refusers, of the whining of the health system and especially of the laxity of the decision makers. Here is the letter he published

Corona: Not vaccinated?

No charge for insulation

True Bear, Chairman of the Business Sector Presidency Tired: Tired of refusing vaccines to harm the economy, tired of the multi-billion dollar health system but constantly threatening "collapse" and tired of the government's non-compensation policy, as if the restrictions it imposed allowed normal business activity

Dubi Amitai, chairman of the business sector

presidency, is known for not getting sick of the struggles, but in a letter sent this morning to the country's decision-makers, it seems that Amitai decided to fire in all directions in protest of the government's attitude to the business sector in Israel.

"He not only demands from the government to formulate a compensation model that will cover the business sector for the losses caused - and will be caused - to him as a result of the isolation policy, but also demands from the compensation sector for days without isolation, start charging vaccinated people out of pocket for the tests and more

. That the health care system has been budgeted too generously (too much?) During the Corona period, whether by increasing the current budget or by dedicated grants to prepare for the Corona, so that it is no longer entitled to warn of collapse - and to intimidate decision-makers.

More on Walla!

This is the most dangerous thing for our dogs.

So why do we not know enough about it?

The full text of the letter

1. Unvaccinated Unfunded - We demand the immediate cessation of the isolation days for those who are not vaccinated and those who have chosen not to vaccinate their children (except in cases where there is a health ban on vaccination).

2. We call on the government to examine the possibility of shortening the isolation days for the verified, the data reflect a reality according to which vaccinated people experience very mild symptoms and there are already precedents in other countries where the isolation days for the verified have been shortened to only five days.

Renewal of the green classroom model and providing immediate solutions that will allow as much continuity of the education system as possible - the more children in this home paralyze the workplaces.

4. Providing a solution for industries where it is not possible to work from home and they are expected to reduce revenue.

At the economic level, and based on a study that analyzes the costs to the economy as a result of the corona crisis, on a weekly level, any percentage (!) Reduction from full economic activity means a loss of about NIS 260 million per economy per week.

For the sake of illustration, if due to the absence of hundreds of thousands of workers from their jobs and heavier rules of social exclusion, and a gap in hours as work inputs, the economy will slow down its activity by five percent, total weekly cost (relative to full activity), there will be a loss of about 1.3 billion.

How can you work in agriculture or industry from home?

In a letter, Amitai also complains about the attitude to business activity in the economy during a period of restrictions and isolation that many are required to work remotely (from home):

" Being "proximity industries": The usual mode of activity involves a high potential for infection during the epidemic, prolonged intimacy between people or many people staying

indoors

as in trade, hospitality and catering.

Some examples of the ability to work from home by industry: in agriculture - only 10%, construction only 14.9%, food and hospitality services - only 5.7%, welfare and welfare services - only 14.4%).

Of these - the non-marketable services industry or the marketable industries that sell most of their produce to the local market - such as the small business, the hotel and catering industry, the construction industry, and the agriculture industry are likely to be hit again after two very difficult years!

The ratio of injury in terms of revenue to terms of employment for businesses in the sensitive industries "proximity industries", based on analysis of previous corona waves is 1.5, ie - if the harm in terms of employment in any industry is 10% - it can be assumed that the harm to revenue will be about 15% for that period.

The public medical system has been budgeted above and beyond, how is it that it has no answer?

Amitai does not stop here - and from the continuation of the letter also emerges an implicit criticism of the public health system, which, although it has devoured budgets of many billions since the outbreak, still fails to provide a solution for many patients:

" Israel's top priority in

February 2020, when the whole world and Israel first encountered the corona virus, it was clear why extreme measures had to be taken to shut down the economy and closures aimed at preventing a situation where the health system would collapse and leave the Israeli public without a medical response. Mankind until then.

But since then, two years have passed, the circumstances that were then were completely different today, and the public systems will be budgeted, and should have been prepared to provide an optimal solution to ensure functional continuity for the economy and business sector.

The business sector should not have to bear the brunt of the poor or incomplete assessments of public systems that are supposed to ensure the public and the economy functional continuity alongside the continued emergence of various variants;

A.

The use of the argument of fear of the collapse of the health system to explain restrictions on the economy is no longer acceptable

:

today there are about four and a half million citizens vaccinated with the third vaccine, which almost completely reduces the severity of the disease. In addition, today the health care system has much more manpower, much more respirators, much more experience, and a remedy to prevent deterioration in the infected condition.

The health system has received huge budgets over the past two years for the purchase of funds and absorption of manpower for the health system, received in the budget approved by the government an additional two billion shekels, in addition to the fixed addition of three billion (the Ministry of Health budget is 43 billion shekels). The fixation of all devices assigned as temporary for the purpose of combating the corona plague:

these are 600 doctors, 1,550 brothers and sisters and 700 administrative and farm workers and paramedical staffs. These figures in addition to the fact that the extreme scenarios are now up to about 3000 patients who will come to the hospital should change the perception and remove the burden from the business sector.

B.

It is no longer acceptable for the education system to be completely shut down in a way that disrupts employment:

One of the main economic consequences of the corona crisis is the damage to the Israeli labor market. With the outbreak of the corona, the labor market was severely damaged and the unavailability of workers, and especially of the skilled ones - ignited and accelerated a sharp rise in wage levels, which in addition to the supply crisis - caused unprecedented high price increases in the last decade.

One of the root causes of the difficulties in the availability of employees is the disruptions in the routine of activity of the education system. In Israel, there are about 400,000 households in which an employed parent is forced to stay at home in order to look after his or her young children due to the lack of study frameworks in schools and kindergartens.

Every week, the shutdown of the education system detracts from the economy's GDP by about NIS 2.6 billion due to the parents' absence from the workplace. Therefore, we call on the government to continue to operate the green

classroom

model and continue to find all the tools to maintain full continuity of the education system

.

Social, with an emphasis on "branches of sacrifice"

;

Industries in which the usual mode of business activity involves prolonged closeness between people or the stay of many people in a closed space as in the industries of commerce, or hospitality and catering.

In addition, a compensation model for industries in which only a few of their employees can work from home, such as the hotel and catering industry, the agriculture industry and the construction industry, which are expected to be hit again after two very difficult years. "

Amitai addresses the letter not only to the prime minister, the finance minister and the economy minister, but also to a number of other public figures and officials, such as heads of relevant committees in the Knesset - finance, economics, labor and welfare and more.
