By replacing heat engines with electric motors in cars, or coal-fired power plants with wind turbines, the energy transition will reduce France's - and Europe's - dependence on fossil fuels.
But other dependencies will emerge:

The former boss of the professional organization France Industrie and large groups such as PSA, Corus or Suez, on Monday submitted a report to the government on "securing the supply of mineral raw materials to the industry".
