"As long as all midwives are not recognized at their fair value (...) we will remain mobilized"

, affirms in a press release the National Trade Union Organization of Midwives (ONSSF), on the initiative of this fourth

"black weekend"

since October - one per month.

In hospitals and clinics, the strikers will be covered by a notice from the CGT-Santé, which claims

"an entry salary of 2.3 Smic and an end of career at 4.6 Smic".

This mobilization comes on the eve of a revaluation of 240 euros net per month in the public sector, in the form of a

“premium for medical exercise”

recorded in the fall by the government, the French Hospital Federation (FHF ) and three majority organizations (FO, CFDT, Unsa).

A salary increase, for an average increase of 78 euros net, is also planned from March, but the new grids are still

"under discussion",

said Tuesday the National and Trade Union Union of Midwives (UNSSF ), another spokesperson for the profession.
