The Syrian Trade Establishment began to extract the tomato crop directly from farmers from several regions, at an appropriate price, in order to reduce the mediation rings between the farmer and the consumer and to break the high price of this material in the local market.
The foundation clarified in a statement that SANA received a copy of it that large quantities will arrive successively at the halls and outlets of Syrian trade, as well as to its affiliated centers in Souk al-Hal, in order to positively intervene in the markets and break the cycle of monopoly by merchants of the material and sell it at an appropriate price for citizens.
It is noteworthy that the Syrian Trade has worked since the beginning of last November to extract citrus fruits directly from farmers in the governorates of Lattakia and Tartous to sell them in its showrooms in all governorates, which contributed to better marketing the crop and reducing costs incurred by farmers and selling at an appropriate price to consumers.
