The price of a gram of gold in the local market, 21 carat, rose three thousand Syrian pounds today, affected by the increase in the price of an ounce globally, to 1900 dollars.
According to the bulletin issued by the Craft Society for Crafting and Making Jewelery in Damascus, a gram of 21 karat gold recorded a selling price of 188,000 Syrian pounds and a purchase price of 187,500 pounds, while a gram of 18 karat selling price was 161142 pounds and a purchase price of 160642 pounds.
The price of a gram of gold in the local market rose last Saturday by two thousand Syrian pounds, affected by the rise in the global price of an ounce to 1860 dollars.
