The Russian company, Gazprom, announced that it will continue its operations to supply Russian gas to European countries through Ukraine, as usual.
"Gazprom is providing Russian gas for transportation to Europe through Ukrainian territory as usual," TASS news agency quoted company spokesman Sergei Kupriyanov as telling reporters.
European consumer orders amounted to 107.5 million cubic meters per day, and yesterday a request was received to supply 108.1 million cubic meters of gas.
He added that this volume is approximately equal to the deliveries under the long-term reservation request for gas transit through Ukraine, which is estimated at about 109.5 million cubic meters per day.
