The chemical and pharmaceutical group Bayer continues to pay the bill for the acquisition, for more than 60 billion dollars, of Monsanto in 2018. Since this operation, it has regularly sold assets in order to lighten the weight of its debt.
This Thursday, the German giant announced the sale of Environmental Science Professional, its branch specializing in non-agricultural pesticides (i.e. intended for gardens or forests), to the investment fund Cinven.
This activity represents 600 million euros in turnover, and employs 800 people worldwide.
The sale, which should be completed during the second half, is at a price of 2.6 billion dollars (2.4 billion euros).

“used to reduce Bayer’s net financial debt”
