The price of a gram of gold in the local market fell today, caliber 21 thousand pounds, with its decline globally as a result of the rise in US Treasury bond yields, against the background of data that indicated a significant rise in inflation.
According to the bulletin issued by the Craft Society for Crafting and Making Jewelery in Damascus, a gram of 21 karat gold recorded a selling price of 208 thousand Syrian pounds and a purchase price of 207.5 thousand pounds, while a gram of 18 karat selling price reached 178286 pounds and a purchase price of 177,786 pounds.
The price of a gram of gold in the local market has recently increased significantly as a result of the rise in the price of an ounce globally, against the backdrop of international tensions over the Russian special military operation to protect Donbass.
