Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich has apparently rescued another of his superyachts from European sanctions.
The 162-meter yacht Eclipse, which is associated with the multi-billionaire, approached the Turkish seaside resort of Marmaris on Tuesday, ship tracking data showed.
A day earlier, another Abramovich yacht had docked in the resort of Bodrum, also in south-western Turkey.
There was no evidence that Abramovich was on board one of the ships - he must have been in other countries for a long time.
EU states confiscate luxury goods
Abramovich flew from Istanbul to Moscow in his private jet last week.
According to flight tracking data, it was the second flight between the Turkish city and the Russian capital within three days.
The oligarch had previously been photographed at an airport in Tel Aviv.
The oligarch is one of dozens of super-rich Russians put on a European Union sanctions list over the past week in response to Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine.
EU governments have since sought to confiscate the billionaires' yachts and other luxury goods.
Nine decks and two helipads
The yacht "Eclipse", which is no longer in EU waters, was built by the Hamburg shipyard Blohm + Voss and handed over to the buyer in 2010 - for a possible total price of up to 850 million euros.
According to estimates by the Financial Times, the interior of the luxury yacht alone cost 200 million euros.
Subsequent conversions, expensive fitness equipment and the tables covered with crocodile leather would have increased costs.
Today the »Eclipse« sails under the flag of Bermuda.
On the total of nine decks of the grind there is a 16 meter long pool, a cinema, a disco, 20 jet skis and two helipads.
