The General Tobacco Corporation completed its final budgets for the year 2021, where its total net profit after tax amounted to 15 billion and 820 million Syrian pounds, an increase of about 6 billion and 100 million pounds over the year 2020.
The report issued by the Foundation, of which SANA received a copy, indicated that its net profit before tax amounted to about 23 billion and 872 million pounds during the year 2021, while in 2020 it was 14 billion and 719 million pounds.
The value of the institution’s transfers to the treasury amounted to 57 billion pounds as economic surpluses, consumer spending fees, profit income tax, tobacco tax, and popular work, in addition to distributing about 450 million pounds as an incentive bonus and a reward for employees during the year 2021.
The Corporation’s report stated that last year it produced 7,322 tons, worth 181 billion and 903 million pounds, while it produced in the same period of the year 2020 a quantity of 5961 tons, valued at 69 billion and 290 million pounds, with an estimated increase of 1,361 tons in quantity and about 112 billion pounds in value, indicating that the implementation rate of The plan for the last year reached about 92 percent in terms of quantity and 250 percent in terms of value.
The value of the institution's sales for the past year amounted to about 190 billion and 611 million pounds, an increase of 144 percent, as the percentage of implementation of the marketing plan reached 95 percent for the quantity and 262 percent for the value.
