The US trade deficit balance rose to a record high last month as exports and imports rose.
Reuters quoted data issued by the US Department of Commerce, "The trade deficit decreased by 0.1 percent to $89.2 billion, compared to expectations of a deficit of $88.5 billion."
Exports of goods and services rose 1.8 percent to a record $228.6 billion, while imports rose 1.3 percent to $317.8 billion, the highest level ever.
