The exchange rate of the Russian currency, the ruble, rose against the dollar and the euro during today's trading, and the dollar was traded below the level of 79 rubles.
According to the data of the Moscow Stock Exchange, the dollar exchange rate fell by 36 kopecks to 78.14 rubles, while the euro exchange rate fell by kopecks to 84.15 rubles.
In the stock market, the ruble-denominated Mexis index fell 0.67 percent to 2301.97 points, while the dollar-denominated RTS index fell 0.08 percent to 931.09 points.
The exchange rate of the euro and the dollar fell against the Russian ruble the day before yesterday, to below the level of 83 rubles.
