The Bolloré conglomerate saw its turnover jump 33% in the first quarter to 5.7 billion euros, thanks in particular to the increase in port handling charges and the explosion in oil prices linked to the war in Ukraine, according to a statement on Monday.

At constant exchange rates and perimeter, the transport and logistics activity, up 47% to 2.4 billion euros, is driven by "
the increase in freight rates and volumes in the air freight forwarding , the good performance of port concessions and the continued recovery of logistics activities in Africa
,” explains the group.
The African branch, whose sale for 5.7 billion euros to the Italian-Swiss shipowner MSC should be completed within a year, saw its sales increase by 16% to 627 million euros.
The oil logistics business is benefiting from “
the rise in the price of oil products, in an international context marked by the war in Ukraine
”.
Its turnover increased by 52% to 848 million
The group, whose several activities and in particular Bolloré Energy “
significantly obtain supplies from Russian and Ukrainian companies
”, indicates that it remains “
very vigilant about the potential impacts of this conflict on its activities
”.
The communication branch, represented by the Vivendi group, grew by 8% to 2.4 billion euros thanks to Canal+ and the advertising group Havas, and despite a slight decline in sales from Editis.
Finally, the electricity storage activity and the group's other industrial activities saw their revenues increase by 44% to 112 million euros due to "
the acceleration of sales of 12-meter buses
", the rise in prices plastic films.
