The Russian currency continued to rise today against the American and European currencies.
In data for the Moscow Stock Exchange, reported by Russia Today, the dollar exchange rate fell by 2.5 rubles to 73.28 rubles and the euro exchange rate by 2.6 rubles to 77.55 rubles.
In the Russian stock market, the Moscow Stock Exchange's dollar-denominated stock index (RST) rose by 0.69 percent to 934.71 points, in contrast to the ruble-denominated stock index (Mexis), which fell by 2.67 percent to 2172.7 points.
