The railway manufacturer Alstom announced on Monday that it had won a contract worth “
nearly 2.5 billion euros
” for the supply of 130 regional trains in Baden-Württemberg, in the south-west of Germany, and their maintenance for thirty years.

This is the largest order placed with Alstom to date in Germany
,” welcomed the French group in a press release, noting that the contract includes an option for 100 additional trains.
