The French Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development announced today the increase in fuel prices, recording new growth last week.
Russia Today quoted the ministry's data as saying: "The price of a liter of diesel fuel, which is the best seller in France, averaged 1.9438 euros last week, an increase of 6.23 cents over the previous week."
The price of fuel (Super SP 95) increased by 6.35 cents to 1.8658 euros per liter, while the price of (Super SP 95), or 10, increased by 6.10 cents to 1.8233 euros per liter.
Earlier, the French trade union Mobilians reported that a new increase in fuel prices is expected in France in the event of a ban on the import of Russian oil to the European Union.
According to the National Institute of Statistics and Economic Research (ANSE), the inflation rate in France reached 4.8 percent during the year and energy prices rose by 26.6 percent.
