The major rental companies, which buy vehicles from manufacturers and manage company fleets, are seeing that the levels of orders for hybrid and electric models have never been so high.

Currently, 30% of our orders relate to low-emission vehicles
,” observes Jérôme Conrad, president of LeasePlan France, whose fleet under management is around 150,000 vehicles and which is in the process of being acquired by ALD Automotive, a subsidiary of Société Générale.
And of these electrified vehicles, two-thirds are plug-in hybrids and one-third are 100% battery-powered.
