What do sanctions bring?
One of the first discussions in Davos is about this question.
But the Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Julia Svyrydenko has little interest in academic debates.
"We definitely don't have time for cost-benefit analysis," she says.
The economy in their homeland will collapse by around 30 percent this year.
"We need your support and we need more economic sanctions against Russia." This also includes using frozen Russian assets to rebuild Ukraine.
"We have to find a clear process for this."

Welcome to the
live blog from Davos
.
In the coming days we will report here from the World Economic Forum, which is taking place again for the first time after a good two-year
Corona break
.
There will be a lot of discussion in the Alps about the consequences of the pandemic, as well as about rising prices and concerns about new debt and hunger crises.
However, the dominant theme is likely to be
Russia's war against Ukraine
.
On Sunday evening there was an impressive performance by Ukrainian parliamentarians who reported on the situation in their homeland.
One of them was Anti-Corruption Committee Chairwoman
Anastasia Radina
.
When asked what her country needs, she had a clear answer: »
Weapon with NATO standard
« and not ones from Soviet production - a clear rejection of the ring exchange favored by the federal government.
