Oil prices rose today at the close, supported by tight supplies.
Reuters reported that Brent crude contracts for July delivery ended the trading session up 47 cents, to record at settlement $144.03 a barrel.
US West Texas Intermediate crude futures rose 55 cents to close at $11.33 a barrel.
The US government announced that crude stocks in the United States fell by one million barrels last week, and gasoline stocks recorded a modest decrease, but distillate stocks rose by 1.7 million barrels, and American refiners raised operating rates in their oil refineries to 93.2 percent, the highest level since December 2019.
