The desire to make customers pay to bail out the coffers is very much assumed by Sébastien Bazin, CEO of Accor.
On May 20, during the general meeting, the manager called on the hoteliers managing the group's establishments to
"frankly increase their prices"
.
In the first quarter, already, Accor raised them by 3%, but by 16% in the high-end brands.
Customers are well aware of these price increases.
But they accept.
Inflation at 7% in the sector
Since mid-March, week after week, room prices have been systematically higher than those of 2019. The increase has even been in double digits since April 4, peaking at 14.3%.
Holiday weekends are getting more and more expensive, but they are finding their audience.
