Tariff shield: there will indeed be a catch-up on the electricity bill despite the government's promises

Yet it was a firm promise.

The electricity price freeze should not be subject to any adjustment.

In the fall, the government had in fact taken the decision to set up a “tariff shield” in order to protect households from the historic surge in energy prices.

First by freezing gas prices.

Then those of electricity, with an increase limited to 4%, instead of the 44.5% expected, according to calculations by the Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE).
