The US Treasury announced that it will allow some transactions related to Russian energy until the fifth of next December.
Reuters quoted the Treasury as saying in a notice published online today: “The United States will allow some energy-related transactions with Sberbank, VTB Bank, Alpha Bank and a few other Russian entities to continue until December 5.”
The Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control announced the extension of the general license that authorizes transactions with certain entities, which also includes the Russian Central Bank and Sofcom Bank, among others.
