In line for about 50,000 assistants in schools and kindergartens: the Ministry of Finance, the New Histadrut, the Maof Histadrut, the local government center and the three major cities have reached agreements according to which each assistant will receive a grant of NIS 1,500 on the start of the school year

. Pedagogical, educational assistants, medical assistants (personal tutors) who will receive the grant for the first time in history, tutoring for individual students and tutoring for individual students in home settings will also be given the

agreement.

In addition, assistants who will be employed at the summer camp during the month of July will receive a salary increase of NIS 75 per working day.

An assistant who replaces a teacher will be entitled to NIS 200 in addition to the salary for each day on which the change was made.

According to the Histadrut, these moves are an opening for a comprehensive and unprecedented reform in the salaries of assistants, which will be launched in 2023 and will lead to a real improvement in the conditions of their salaries, status and rights.
