The French energy group Engie said on Thursday that it had noted a reduction in Russian gas deliveries, while ensuring that this had no effect on the supply of its customers.

We are indeed seeing a reduction in deliveries and we are monitoring this situation carefully, which has no impact on the supply of our customers
," said a spokesperson for the company, without further details.

The Russian giant Gazprom announced on Wednesday that it would lower its gas deliveries by another third via the Nord Stream gas pipeline, claiming to have been forced to stop equipment from the German group Siemens.
This is the same technical reason that was invoked on Tuesday by the Russian energy company to justify an initial drop of 40% in its flows.
Berlin on Wednesday denounced a "
political decision
" and a "
pretext
" by Moscow, in a context of heightened tensions with Western countries because of the conflict in Ukraine.
