But this sense of security is severely undermined in the event of a burglary - and unfortunately, this is a significant phenomenon.

What alarm systems are currently on the market?

The two main types of home alarm systems include a wired system and a wireless system.

A wired alarm system - similar to a landline phone - requires a cable connection between its various parts, such as the motion detector and alarm horn, and a command cable and a central control system.

The home communication infrastructure can be used as a basis for this alarm system, or in the case of a new home design, include a dedicated line for the system.

In contrast, a wireless alarm system does not need these connections - since its various parts communicate with each other wirelessly, just like the cordless phone.

This feature makes it easier and often cheaper to install.

With the technological advancement and the "Internet of Things" revolution, which allows simple cameras and other devices to be connected to the Internet, the field of alarm systems has also changed.

Today, a variety of additional components can be connected to the home alarm system, which will increase the ability to monitor what is happening in the home, even remotely.

For example, volume sensors can detect burglars entering a home;

In conclusion, house burglaries are an unpleasant phenomenon at all - but they exist and in no small dimensions, with thousands of house burglaries every year in Israel.
