The quantities marketed for the branch of the General Organization for Seed Multiplication in Daraa, since the start of marketing operations to date, have reached 905 tons of wheat seed and 122 tons of barley seed.
The director of the Foundation’s branch, Eng. Samer Al-Zamil, told SANA reporter that the marketing process is progressing at a good pace amid simplified procedures in terms of facilitating the receipt processes and paying the incentive price provided by the state, which, in addition to the incentive rewards, amounts to about 2340 pounds per kilogram of wheat and 1920 pounds per kilogram of barley. .
He pointed out that the Screening and Sterilization Center began its work in sterilizing and sifting the marketed quantities before storing them in warehouses, to ensure the protection of the crop from insect infestations and to secure the seeds for farmers within the required specifications.
The branch of the General Organization for Seed Multiplication in Daraa expects to market 12,000 tons of wheat seed and 200 tons of barley seed during the current season.
