Following the strike notices filed by the trade unions of firefighters employed by Groupe ADP (formerly Aéroports de Paris), the General Directorate of Civil Aviation (DGAC) asked the airlines to reduce their firefighting program by 17% flight, departing from and arriving at Roissy-Charles de Gaulle and Orly, between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m.

The worst is to be feared for Friday.

In addition to the firefighters, the CGT, FO, CFDT, CFTC, Sud, Unsa and Solidaires unions are calling on all ADP employees to strike on July 1.

Both the administrative staff, the fire safety and personal assistance service agents (SSIAT) or those who manage the flow of passengers.

The unions of subcontracting companies, particularly in security, have also called on employees not to take their jobs.

The unions are ready to renew the strike

“This is going to be an absolute shambles.

We must expect monstrous queues, flight delays and cancellations”, warns a representative of the CGT, “convinced” that the movement will be “very followed”.

“We are still awaiting confirmation of the number of strikers and its potential impact on air traffic,” specifies the management of Aéroports de Paris.

Depending on this information, the DGAC will communicate with the companies before Thursday at midday, for the flight schedules for Friday.

During the last mobilization of ADP employees, on June 9, a quarter of the flights had been canceled.

After asking for a 300 euro increase twenty days ago – without success – the unions are demanding a general increase in wages “of at least 10%”.

“The management made us sign an amendment, during the coronavirus, to lower our salaries by 5%, in addition to the 1,150 job cuts.

This is no longer tenable today, especially with the inflation that we are all experiencing, ”says Fabrice Criquet, secretary general of FO ADP.

The management of ADP is currently proposing an increase of 1.5% and the establishment of a “dual status” for new hires.

“Negotiations are underway around substantial and concrete proposals for salary increases.

We hope that these can continue, ”says the management.

The unions, they do not intend to let go.

"As long as our demands are not satisfied, we will continue the strike", warns Fabrice Criquet.
