Damascus-SANA

The Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection announced the granting of a month before stopping all paper approvals regarding subsidized materials “bread, diesel and gasoline” to public and private entities, to be replaced by an electronic card, as of today.

A statement by the ministry, which SANA received a copy of, said: This step comes based on the directives of the Prime Minister, within the framework of automating all government support pathways and the output of subsidized materials, with the aim of ensuring that these materials reach their beneficiaries, equitably distributed and not wasted.

The ministry indicated that the Prime Minister sent a letter last December to all ministries and their affiliated bodies and independent bodies such as university cities, orphanages, charitable societies and others, providing the Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection with all the approvals granted to ministries and their affiliates regarding subsidized materials “bread, diesel and gasoline.” With the quantities allocated to it, it can be replaced with an electronic card within a month from the date of this book.

The ministry indicated that until today, 8 months after the book, only some ministries have provided us with approvals, and accordingly, the Ministry of Internal Trade will stop all paper approvals within a maximum period of one month from today's date.
