The Real Estate Finance Supervisory Authority, in cooperation with the Syndicate of Engineers, started today a training course to train duly licensed real estate evaluators and their trainees on the foundations, methods and mechanisms of real estate appraisal at the Central Engineers Syndicate in Damascus.
Following the holding of the first session of the four-day course, the director general of the authority, Intisar Al-Yaseen, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the course aims to train 65 persons who have obtained a real estate appraisal certificate or who wish to obtain a certificate of experience in this field to raise the level of real estate appraisal experts and advance this profession in the development market And real estate finance, noting that the courses in this regard will continue in all its branches in the governorates.
The number of real estate appraisal experts working in the real estate markets in the governorates who have obtained an experience certificate from the Real Estate Finance Supervisory Authority is about 450 experts, according to Al-Yassin, noting that the training courses are supervised by professors specialized in real estate development and finance to familiarize the trainees with the legislation governing the work of appraisal experts, its methods, standards and ethics. For his part, the Secretary of the Central Engineers Syndicate, Eng. Khader Al-Saleh, indicated that the Syndicate annually holds real estate training courses in cooperation with the Real Estate Finance Supervisory Authority in all its branches, stressing the need at the current stage for experts in the process of evaluating the value of real estate, whether it is residential, commercial or agricultural.
It is noteworthy that according to Law No. 8 of 2012 regulating the profession of real estate expert, it is not permissible to practice the real estate appraisal profession except for those who have obtained a license from the authority and whose name is registered in the register of real estate appraisal experts with it.
