The price of gold in the local market rose by six thousand pounds from the price it settled on since the beginning of last week, with the increase of the ounce globally.
According to the bulletin issued by the Craftsmen Association for Crafting and Making Jewelry in Damascus today, a gram of 21 carat gold recorded a selling price of 206 thousand Syrian pounds and a purchase price of 205,500 pounds, while a gram of 18 karat selling price amounted to 176,571 pounds and a purchase of 176071 pounds.
The association confirmed that the craftsmen should abide by the price issued by it, calling on citizens who wish to buy gold not to pay for it except according to the bulletin issued by the association and distributed phone numbers for complaints 2248005 and 0991937718.
