China-Europe freight train services recorded strong growth in July amid a safe and smooth operation, according to China Railway Group Co., Ltd.
Xinhua reported that the number of freight train trips between China and Europe rose by 11 percent year on year to reach a record 1,517 trips last month.
Freight trains handled 149,000 units, equivalent to 20 feet of cargo, up 12 percent from last year.
During the first seven months, the number of freight train trips between China and Europe rose 3 percent year on year to 8,990 trips, which transported a total of 869,000 units, equivalent to 20 feet of cargo, an increase of 4 percent year on year.
