Four of the six Ryanair flights canceled at 9:00 a.m. this morning were to leave or land in Barcelona, the other two departing from or arriving at Palma de Mallorca airport in the Balearic archipelago, according to the Union Syndicale Ouvrier (USO). ), which organized this strike with the Independent Union of Air Crew (SITCPLA).
This strike at Ryanair, which offers more than 650 connections with Spain, has so far had a limited impact, mainly resulting in delays.

Ryanair recently reached an agreement with the CCOO (Workers' Commissions) union, a minority among the flight crew, but this agreement was rejected by the USO and the SITCPLA, which consider it insufficient and are also calling for the reinstatement of 11 striking employees dismissed last month.
Alongside this strike at Ryanair, the pilots of Easyjet, another low-cost airline, have been observing weekly three-day strikes since August 12 at the airports of Barcelona, Málaga (south) and the islands of Palma. from Mallorca and Menorca.
