The energy and retail group Sonol announces the opening of the first branch of Lenny's - a new pharmacy chain that will offer medical cannabis and a variety of cannabis-based complementary products, alongside prescription drugs, non-prescription drugs and pharmaceutical products.

The first branch will open in the coming days in the heart of the city of Modi'in.

In the next 3 years, Sonol will open dozens of branches nationwide, with a total investment of about NIS 30 million.

The branches will be opened in the company's gas stations and in central locations in the cities.



For the purpose of establishing the Lenny's chain, the company Sonol Legrinmed - one of the prominent companies in Israel in the field of medical cannabis, and it is the one that constitutes the professional entity that will operate the pharmacies and serve the customers to the highest standard, while committing to only quality products.

Greenmed brings with it extensive experience and knowledge in the entire value chain of cannabis consumption, from seed genetics, growing, processing and aging to consulting for patients.

Greenmed's team includes scientists with experience in agriculture, biotechnology and plant and soil pathology, and the company invests heavily in groundbreaking research that will bring value to patients in Israel and around the world.



The Lenny's network will operate in accordance with the rules of regulation in the field, and will provide a professional, fast, accessible and available service.

As part of the conditions for obtaining the license, in the first phase the chain will offer prescription and non-prescription drugs, a wide variety of nutritional supplements, dermo-cosmetic products and products based on hemp oil from cannabis seeds, baby products, orthopedic aids, a wide range of drugs and preparations from nature.

The chain will also offer a large selection of useful accessories designed for use with cannabis, including wearable art inspired by cannabis-art-healing.



Later, and subject to the approval of the Ministry of Health, medical cannabis products will be sold at the pharmacy.



The Lenny's branch in Modi'in will be managed by Racheli Fisher, a pharmacist with 20 years of experience.

In her previous position, she served as a regional pharmacist of the United Health Insurance Fund

, and was in charge of about 30 pharmacies in the central region.

The new reform in the field of medical cannabis has been launched and has led to a significant increase in the number of patients, which currently stands at more than 116,000, compared to 30,000 three years ago.

The expectation is that this number will continue to grow steadily by tens of percent over the next few years.

The reform also led to the flourishing of breeding farms, manufacturing plants and trading houses as well as the introduction of cannabis products into pharmacies as a prescription medicine.



The market for cannabis products in Israel is expected to cross the one billion shekel mark this year, and will show dramatic growth over the next few years.
