Following Walla's revelation that will be published here tomorrow, and deals with briefings allegedly received by

the General Secretary of the Israel Agricultural Federation, Abu (Abshalom) Willan

, from

Tzvika Cohen, Senior Vice President of the Ministry of Agriculture

, in WhatsApp messages, during the discussions on agricultural reform, in order, allegedly, torpedo her.

This morning, Whalen appealed to the Minister of Agriculture, Oded Forer, to immediately fire the

Director General of the Ministry of Agriculture, Naama Kaufman

, who he claims had leaked them. In addition, Whalen appealed to the Legal Advisor to the Government and the Civil Service Commissioner, in order to open a criminal and disciplinary investigation against her.

"I was amazed to find out (after receiving A request from a journalist), because during the negotiations that took place between the representatives of the farmers' organizations, myself among them, and the ministries of agriculture and finance, the honorable director general - or one of the employees of the ministry on her behalf - stood behind me and took a picture of my mobile phone screen.

It turns out that instead of negotiating in good faith and for the benefit of Israeli agriculture, the Director General of the Ministry of Agriculture is engaged in illegal spying and eavesdropping, which are prohibited according to the criminal law, and is taking pictures of my mobile phone screen herself or through messengers (we were you) and even dares to distribute the photos, and this is to try And settle accounts with Mr. Tzvika Cohen, Senior Vice President of the Ministry of Agriculture, whose only sin in her eyes is that he dared to pass on permitted data to us, the farmers."

Whelan is not satisfied with the aggressive opening, but also implicitly directs a threat towards the Minister of Agriculture himself: "The leaking of the private phone screen by a public official is a thuggish and devious act of the kind reserved for dark regimes.

At the same time as my appeal to you, I am sending an urgent appeal to the Legal Advisor to the Government and the Civil Service Commissioner to initiate a criminal and disciplinary investigation against the CEO. I call on you: show leadership and remove the CEO from her position and publicly disavow her nefarious actions.

Otherwise, you will be seen as complicit in her actions."

"Unprecedented insults and attacks"

Here it is worth noting that Kaufman was not the one who gave Walla the screenshots showing the WhatsApp correspondence between Willen and Cohen, which in any case do not include any data, but what can be defined as briefings, some of them even blunt, as well as the conversation of someone who apparently fears being caught in an illegal act.

The Minister of Agriculture, Oded Porer

replied to Ylan and wrote: "I was amazed to find out from your letter that you received data and information from officials in the ministry during the negotiations in a way that did not go through the office of the CEO who managed the negotiations, despite my instructions.

As long as there are correspondences, emails and/or transmission of such information, I would ask you to let me know who the perpetrators are, so that we can deal with them disciplinary.

"Unfortunately, throughout the negotiations, tendentious leaks were made to the media, and more than once I was amazed to find the things that were said in internal discussions in the office spread on the pages of newspapers in a tendentious manner.

However, even during the course of the discussions, I commented that the internal discussions are routinely leaked to the media and to the entities with which we conduct negotiations, while disrupting the negotiations and acting contrary to my policy and the government's policy, an act that is also prohibited according to the Takshir.

The Minister of Agriculture added and backed up the CEO of his office: "The CEO does her job faithfully, with endless dedication, modesty and transparency, and during the negotiations with you she received unprecedented insults and attacks on a personal level and I have no intention of firing her.

She will continue to manage the office and promote government policy." The

full investigation into the nature of the negotiations between the farmers' representatives and the Ministry of Agriculture will be published in Vala and Maariv's "Esakim" magazine.
