With the participation of more than 200 national industrial companies, the activities of the exhibition “Made in Syria” specialized export of clothing, textiles and production requirements “Autumn and Winter 2022-2023” were launched this evening in the exhibition city, organized by the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Industry and the Syrian Exporters Association of Garments and Textiles.

The exhibition, which extends over an area of ​​three pavilions, includes various types of men's, children's, women's and lingerie clothing, and hosts about 450 businessmen from Arab countries, and will continue until the fifth of September.

In a statement to the media following the inauguration between the Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade, Dr. Muhammad Samer Khalil, that the Syrian industrialist proves in each session of this exhibition that he has determination and determination to succeed and excel in presenting the latest clothing products of all kinds for export, which has permanently imposed its presence and distinction at the regional level despite all circumstances The difficult situation that Syria has faced over a period of more than ten years.

Minister Al-Khalil noted the participation of more than 130 producers and producing companies from Aleppo Governorate, which restored the true luster of the Syrian industry in the field of clothing, which is a source of pride for all Syrians.

For his part, Minister of Industry Ziad Sabbagh pointed out the distinction of this exhibition in each session from the previous one through the quality of products, excellence in design and tailoring, and the presentation of new models that meet the desires of consumers, pointing out that the Syrian industrialist is still proving his worth in all forums and exhibitions, and the best evidence of this is visitors coming from countries Al-Arabiya, which concludes contracts with producers directly, confirms that Syrian textile products are in demand in all countries of the world despite the state of siege and sanctions that producers suffer from.

For his part, the head of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Industry, Engineer Fares Al-Shihabi, said that the exhibition is important and is considered a marketing window for Syrian products, but we still face some difficulties and need to overcome them with the concerned authorities so that the volume of participation is greater, noting that there are new machines that have entered production and improved the quality of products, and that the goal is to compete with the products of other countries. other in foreign markets.

He added: We are achieving success in this exhibition, and our exports are constantly increasing, and we stress the importance of the government's economic team responding with industrialists to overcome some issues so that we can return with a stronger start than before.

The head of the Syrian Garment and Textile Exporters Association, Ragheed Al-Halabi, explained that the exhibition in its autumn-winter 2022 session is distinguished by the large participation volume compared to the rest of the years, hoping that it will achieve success with a large number of visitors coming from abroad, which leads to the conclusion of contracts and support for the national economy.
