London-Sana
Gas prices in European markets rose today by about 30 percent, or about $2900 per thousand square meters, after the stoppage of the Nord Stream gas pipeline.
Russia Today website stated that the price of gas in Europe rose on the London Futures Exchange to 2855 dollars per thousand cubic meters since the beginning of trading today, while trading closed at the end of last week at 2213 dollars.
This rise in gas prices came after the Russian company Gazprom announced last week that gas supplies were completely stopped through the “Nord Stream” pipeline, which was scheduled to resume yesterday, after the maintenance of a turbine repair in the main pipeline to supply Europe.
