The major indices on the American Wall Street Stock Exchange opened their trading on the rise today, supported by technology shares.
Reuters reported that the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose at the opening 101.70 points, or 0.32 percent, to 31,876.22 points, and the Standard & Poor's 500 index rose 16.76 points, or 0.42 percent, to 4,022.94 points, while the Nasdaq Composite Index began trading up 96.48 points, or 0. 81 percent to 11,958.61 points.
