Gold prices jumped 1 percent today, approaching a two-week high, as the dollar fell.
And Reuters reported that gold rose in spot transactions 0.8 percent to $ 1726.10 an ounce, after rising to its highest level since August 30 at $ 1733.69 an ounce, and US gold futures increased 0.7 percent to $ 1741020 an ounce.
As for other precious metals, silver rose in spot transactions four percent to $ 19.53 an ounce, recording its highest increase in more than three weeks, and platinum jumped 1.6 percent to $ 895.13, and palladium rose 2.3 percent to $ 2222.87.
