Gold prices fell today to their lowest level in eight weeks.
And Reuters reported that gold fell in spot transactions 0.4 percent to 1688.49 dollars an ounce, after it reached its lowest level since the 21st of July earlier in the session, and US gold futures fell 0.6 percent to 1698.10 dollars.
As for other precious metals, silver fell 1.3 percent in spot transactions to $ 19.44 an ounce, platinum fell 0.1 percent to $ 905.16, and palladium fell 0.8 percent to $ 2141.30.
